Your trip begins from the Judean Hills to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on the Earth. We drive along the Judean Desert to the fortress of Masada, where you will be able to learn about Israeli history. This fortress is one of the most significant places in Israel, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. We walk to the National Park and ascend by cable car to visit the remains of King Herod’s palace. After the walk, we descend by cable car.
We continue to the Dead Sea, where you can float in its dense waters at a popular beach and cover your body with its mineral-rich mud that is renown for its therapeutic effects.

Masada

Mount Massada, with a fortress at its peak, is located near the Dead Sea. The fortress reached a special peak in those years when King Herod, who fled from Jerusalem, settled in it. During his reign, a magnificent palace was built, city walls were strengthened, and the water supply system was improved. The ruins of an ancient synagogue were also found. In 73 AD, Massada was surrounded by the Romans. The defenders of the fortress understood that they could not hold back the enemy’s onslaught for a long time, and a terrible decision was made. Among the soldiers, ten people were selected who cut the throat of all the inhabitants of the fortress. Then, from among them, one soldier was chosen by lot, who killed all the others, and then committed suicide. Having burst into the fortress, the Romans saw almost untouched supplies of food and water, weapons and ... dead defenders and inhabitants.

Dead Sea

There are a lot pf names of Dead Sea. It is often called the “bottom of the world,” because it is located at the lowest point on earth. And in the biblical stories this unusual reservoir is reflected. They say that in the mixture for bonding bricks during the construction of the Tower of Babel, a composition was prepared based on the components contained in the Dead Sea. Used them to strengthen Noah's ark. On the shores of the Dead Sea, an excellent resort area has been created: hotels, motels, health and beauty centers that conduct procedures using sea water and therapeutic mud.

Judean Desert

The Judean Desert is a desolate territory in Israel, located to the west of the Dead Sea. This is one of the most famous deserts of the world. In ancient times, it served as a refuge for hermits and rebels, and today the bedouins and Jewish settlers live here.

Trips around Judean desert are popular with tourists and pilgrims. They come here for the monasteries, the world’s oldest synagogue and other historical monuments that represent the living history of Israel for 2 000 years. People come to the Judean Desert to ride on off-road vehicles, quad bikes and bicycles. Many tourists are interested to see an unusual animal and plant world, which is preserved in protected areas near the Dead Sea.

No indication of seats in the bus. Boarding and deboarding is carried out only in designated places.
Visiting holy places is allowed only in modest clothes (shoulders and knees should be covered).
Tourists will have around 1.5 hours to spend at the Dead Sea.

We recommend: to take drinking water, hat, sunscreen, comfortable shoes.
