Excursion «162. Beit Guvrin»

This land is located in the very heart of the country - in the Judean foothills - the Shfela region. The Shfela area is distinguished by landscape diversity and a large number of historical sites, around the cave cities there are other historical monuments: settlements, fortifications, churches, cemeteries, ruins of walls and towers, but man-made caves are always present everywhere - large and small, standing alone and united into complexes ...

You will see fragments of the entire centuries-old history of the Holy Land - bloody Maccabean wars, luxurious cities - policies of the Roman Empire, the remains of fortresses and churches of the Crusader era, a two-story city with residential buildings, public buildings, and caves:

• The dovecote cave is the largest. In it, the ancient inhabitants performed ancient rituals with pigeons.
• Oil press cave. In the cave of the press and millstones for crushing olives.
  A cave under the wells and a two-storey residential building. Under it are wells with rainwater and a secret passage that leads to another cave.
• The Paamon Caves resemble huge bells with absolutely amazing acoustics. You can go down in them by a rope.
• The burial cave is famous for its frescoes.

For a long time, you will remember this city, walking up the stairs leading into the depths and the atmosphere of ancient times, the smell of history, and the taste of freedom.

If a tourist cancels an excursion in less than 3 days, the penalty is 100%, unless “Cancellation Insurance” is purchased.
Money is returned only if availability of "Insurance against non-departure".

• Minor changes to the route are possible.
• The company reserves the right to change the departure time for the excursion, which is communicated to the tourist the day before.
• There is no indication of seats on the bus. Boarding and disembarking is carried out only at designated places.
• Visiting holy places is permitted only in modest clothing (shoulders and knees must be covered).
