Excursion «Mini Israel. Latrun. Tel Aviv-Jaffa. Diamond Exchange»

Our tour starts in one of the oldest areas of Tel Aviv, which begins at the crossroads where the Great Synagogue is located. Tel Aviv, before gaining city status in 1909, was one of the quarters of ancient Jaffa.

The central part of Tel Aviv can be easily identified by two high-rise buildings: round and triangular towers, which are called Azrieli high-rises. They house the offices of many large companies and organizations working in the IT field.

Part of the city center is an architectural complex (White City), which largely determines the modern appearance of the city. There are many original buildings here, declared unique monuments of architectural architecture.

When traveling around the city on Tuesday or Friday, you can get to the large fair, which is regularly held on Nahlat Binyamin Street. And the most crowded and popular street in the city — Shenkin. Crowded fairs and clothing sales most often take place here.

Life in Tel Aviv does not end at dusk. Restaurants serving cuisine from around the world are open 24 hours a day, and pubs, bars, and clubs are open all night, where you can listen to performances by famous musicians and see performances by world-famous DJs.

The ancient city of Jaffa was founded many centuries ago, according to legend, on the very spot where Noah began building the ark. After the flood, Noah's son Japheth returned to these places and founded the city, which is named after him.

In addition to mentions in the Bible, there are several other written sources where the toponym Jaffa appears. In particular, these are the chronicles of Pharaoh Thutmose III. The city has been subject to frequent raids throughout its history, and it has been owned alternately at different times by the Greeks, Phoenicians, Romans, Jews, Crusaders, the Napoleonic administration and the British.

The historical center of Jaffa, where our tour will begin, is the Clock Square. The clock on the tower has four dials that show the time of different time zones.

One of the streets starting from the square leads to the main mosque of the city, built during the time the city was ruled by the Muslim administration. On the Square of Antiquities — the main square of Jaffa, archaeological excavations have been carried out, thanks to which we can see the history of the development of the city. Additional materials are on display at the Jaffa History Museum, located next to the square.

The next point of our excursion is —Mini-Israel Park, which gives you the opportunity to see the whole country in one day. Here, on a reduced scale, all historical, national, archaeological and cultural-religious monuments are presented, adjacent to modern buildings, against the backdrop of authentic landscapes and landscapes. Six sectors of the mini-park — these are the rays of the Star of David, which in turn represent the regional divisions of Israel.
