Our tour will begin in thecity of Demre, which has become widely famous due to the fact that theChurch of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker is located here. This tour — an opportunity to come into contact with a miracle! Next we will head to the city of Mira — an ancient place with a difficult fate… You will be able to admire the unique rock tombs and Roman ancient theater! Just imagine — These tombs are more than two thousand years old, and most of them still have perfectly preserved frames.
The final location of our tour will be Limira — ancient city in Lycia. The city was founded in the 6th century BC and from that time numerous buildings have survived to the present day, which you will see:
- theater (erected approximately in the middle of the 2nd century AD, presumably on the site of an older theater that was damaged by an earthquake in 141),
- baths (I century AD),
- Roman roads (1st century AD),
- agora with colonnades (I–II century AD).
