On the way, mighty mountains, beautiful gorges and sun await us.

The first stop will be the Khor Virap Monastery - the cradle of the birth of Christianity in Armenia. The monastery is located just 40 kilometers from Yerevan and less than a kilometer from the border of the republic.
I will tell you about khachkars and how Christianity came to Armenia.< /p>

There is a beautiful view of Mount Ararat. We will pass by a small village where a stork's nest is built above each house. From early spring to early autumn you will be able to admire this pure and touching landscape up close.
Next we will continue our journey along a small pass.

We will pass by a wine village, where the autochthonous grape varieties Areni and Voskehat grow. You will be able to try different types of wines: homemade wine of local residents, young sparkling wine in season, as well as wines in a small tasting room where wines from all over Armenia are stored in the cellars.

You will visit the Areni-1 Cave, where the local caretaker will tell you about the interesting artifacts found during the excavations.
The next stop will be the Noravank Temple, surrounded byred rocks.
You will hear the legend about how and by whom it was built, about the symbolism of the stairs and much more...

Noravank is an Armenian monastery complex built in the XIII-XIV, 122 km from Yerevan, on the ledge of a narrow winding gorge of a tributary of the Arpa River near the village of Areni. The gorge is famous for the steep red rocks that rise behind the monastery, on the territory of which there is a two-story church of St. Astvatsatsin with narrow cantilever staircases.
