Petra, originally known to its inhabitants as Raqmu, is a historical and archaeological city in southern Jordan. Petra lies on the slope of Jabal Al-Madbah in a basin among the mountains which form the eastern flank of the Arabah valley that runs from the Dead Sea to the Gulf of Aqaba.
Petra is believed to have been settled as early as 9,000 BC, and it was possibly established in the 4th century BC as the capital city of the Nabataean Kingdom. The Nabataeans were nomadic Arabs who invested in Petra`s proximity to the trade routes by establishing it as a major regional trading hub

Along with Jerash, it is another historical pride of Jordan. Petra deserves a place among the New Seven Wonders of the World. On the territory of the city, lost in the mountains near the Wadi Musa valley, there are more than 800 historical monuments. And all this has accumulated over more than 2000 years of the existence of Petra, the capital of two states, first of Idumea, and after - of Nabataean. Travel will be one of the brightest events in your life.

Guests have time to feel the unusualness of this place even before they get here. To get to Petra, one has to overcome a kilometer of path along the Es-Sik gorge, completely closed from sunlight. At the end of this journey, the city appears to the audience in all its glory. Facades carved into red rocks, a huge palace in the Roman style, monasteries and temples, majestic colonnades and arches, the remains of ancient stone staircases, canals and a giant amphitheater for three thousand people.

There are also new buildings here. There are many good restaurants here, so you can leave there for lunnch or dinner. Also, there are shops, where you can buy water, which are more than welcome.

1. Клиенты с оформленной заранее визой в Иорданию имеют возможность посетить Петру с выездом из Эйлата оплатив на границе пограничный сбор 85$.
Клиенты должны самостоятельно получить визу заранее в посольстве Иордании в своей стране.

2. Клиенты без заранее оформленной визы в Иорданию смогут получить визу через нашу компанию при предоставлении паспортных данных не позднее 2-х дней до выезда.
В этом случае пограничный сбор и виза составляют 140$, которые также оплачиваются клиентами на границе.

3. ВАЖНО! При переходе границы в Иорданию необходимо предъявить копии брони гостиницы в Израиле и обратного авиабилета из Израиля.
