A journey through the desert can be truly captivating.

You will visit the Judean Desert and witness its beautiful ancient landmarks. You will see the extraordinary Monastery of St. George of Choziba, perched on sheer cliffs in the Wadi Qelt gorge. Afterwards, we will explore the cave where the prophet Elijah lived, battling idolatry. It is said that ravens brought him food. According to biblical sources, he ascended to heaven in a fiery chariot and is destined to be the first to announce the coming of the Messiah. We will also catch a glimpse (from a distance) of the Monastery of St. Gerasimos. His name is known to us from the Bible, where there is a touching story of a man's friendship with a lion that died on his tomb after the saint's passing. And of course, we will visit the site of Christ's baptism on the Jordan River! Christian pilgrims from all over the world come here to partake in the ritual of baptism.
