Hagia Sophia (Museum): The historical site of the birth of Orthodoxy, Hagia Sophia served as the center of the Orthodox world for approximately 1,000 years.

Kariye Museum or Chora Monastery: A Byzantine church in Istanbul that has preserved its original appearance.
