Start your day with the city’s business card — Cascade complex — art space with modern installations and magnificent views of Yerevan. Next, we will walk through the main square of the city, surrounded by majestic buildings, fountains and sculptures.

The second part of the excursion you will spend in the city of Etchmiadzin – centuries-old spiritual center of Armenia. They say about him that this is the “heart”. Armenian Apostolic Church. We will begin our acquaintance with the city from the church of St. Hripsime, who refused to become the wife of two rulers, Rome and Armenia, and wished to preserve herself in the name of Christ. The saint and 36 of her friends were killed by order of the Armenian king. The relics of the saint are still kept in the church.

Next we will walk through the territory of the Etchmiadzin Cathedral, the main temple of the Armenian Apostolic Church, and admire its architecture from the outside and visit the treasury museum.

The final point of our group tour – Zvartnots TempleIt stood for only 300 years and was almost completely destroyed after the earthquake, but its first tier has been restored, and you can still appreciate the beauty and scale of the building today.

Zvartnots Temple - This beautiful complex was built in 643-652 by order of the Catholicos of All Armenians Nerses III Shinogh, who, thanks to his construction activities, received the pseudonym Shinarar (Builder). Zvartnots translated from ancient Armenian means “Temple of Vigilant Angels.”

The main temple of the Armenian Apostolic Church, the throne of the Catholicos of all Armenians in 303-484, and again since 1441. Located in the city of Vagharshapat, Armavir region of Armenia. Since 2000 it has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is one of the oldest Christian churches in the world.

Museum "Treasures of Etchmiadzin"

The Treasures of Etchmiadzin Museum is located in the south-eastern part of the Cathedral. The museum displays unique holy relics. One of the most famous treasures is Saint Geghard (housed in a silver reliquary), which pierced the side of Christ, the relics of Noah's Ark (also housed in a reliquary created in 1698), as well as many other valuable works of art.
