The Monkey Cave Temple, also known as Wat Suwan Kukha, is a unique Buddhist sanctuary located in caves inside a limestone mountain. The entrance to the temple is through a vast cave on the lower level of the mountain, where you can see the majestic statue of the reclining Buddha, stretching over 15 meters.
At the next level of the mountain there is a second cave with impressive stalactites, impressive in their beauty.
The local monkeys inhabiting the caves are of particular interest. The temple is home to five clans of monkeys, each ruled by their own leader. Visitors can hand-feed the monkeys by purchasing food from vendors at the entrance.

In the province of Phang Nga, near the island of Phuket, you will find numerous attractions, including unique Buddhist temples. One of these temples is Wat Suwan Khuha, known to locals as the cave temple - Wat Tham, and for tourists - as the temple with monkeys. Both names are absolutely true. After all, the Suwan Kukha temple itself is comfortably located in a cave, and at the entrance you will be greeted by hundreds of curious monkeys, ready to get to know you.
