



Our excursion begins with a trip to the southernmost town of Croatia, with picturesque bays and deep bays, which in its significance and historical value is not inferior to Dubrovnik itself, this is the beautiful town of CAVTAT!
Cavtat is only 20 km away from the center of Dubrovnik and curious tourists enjoy visiting this cozy place to relax. According to archaeological data, Cavtat as an ancient Greek settlement began its existence in the 5th century BC, and in the 3rd century BC became part of a Roman colony called Epidaurus.
On the excursion you will learn the legends and old traditions of this city and get acquainted with the main attractions of today's Cavtat. See the Princely Palace, where the prince lived with his retinue during the existence of the Dubrovnik Republic, see the main parish church of the city, dedicated to St. Nicholas, visit >home and galleryof the outstanding Croatian artist Vlah Bukovec, get acquainted with the Franciscan monastery and the Church of Our Lady of the Snows, and also see a unique white stone Mausoleum of the aristocratic family Racic, which was designed by the famous Croatian sculptor of the 20th century Ivan Mestrovic.
The amazing inscription on the bell of the Mausoleum reads: “WHEN YOU KNOW THE SECRET OF LOVE, THEN YOU WILL UNDERSTAND THE SECRET OF DEATH AND YOU WILL BELIEVE THAT LIFE IS ETERNAL.” (Ivan Meshtrovic)
After exploring the city of Cavtat, our journey continues through the picturesque Konavle region to the majestic ancient fortress SOKOL-GRAD. On a 25-meter cliff you will see an impregnable a fortress that for centuries protected its people from enemy attacks. Today, inside the fortress there is a museum where archaeological finds from different historical periods are stored.
Next, our journey will lead us to a local winemaker, where you can taste and evaluate local wines and olive oil with a traditional Croatian snack (dried meat and homemade cheese).
After the tasting, in a good mood, we will go for lunch to the local restaurant Konavolskie Dvory, which is located on a cold mountain river with fast rapids. This restaurant will surprise you with its unique national cuisine and homely, pleasant atmosphere.
After a hearty lunch, we will say goodbye to this picturesque Croatian region and return to the hotel.
