Sentendre – A charming town that ranks among the country's most popular tourist destinations and is conveniently located close to Budapest. By the end of the 17th century, the Serbs, fleeing the Turkish invasion, settled on the right bank of the Danube.
Over time, they rebuilt the settlement, giving it a unique baroque Mediterranean style, and also erected six Orthodox churches, surpassing in number even the whole of Hungary .
In the 1920s, Szentendre attracted the attention of artists, becoming the artistic capital of Hungary.
Walking through its cozy streets, you will feel the unique atmosphere of this place. Afterwards, at the Hungarian National Wine Museum, you can enjoy a tasting of 5 types of wine, immersing yourself in the wine culture of the region.
You can complete your visit by purchasing souvenirs in various shops or visiting the Marzipan Museum (tickets are available upon request).
