Group tour "Vienna Woods": Journey through the lands of Austria and the Roman Empire

In four hours, you'll be immersed in unique images of two key regions of Austria and explore a spa town of the Roman Empire.

Vienna Woods: From castle ruins to mining history

Vienna Woods — it's not just trails and nature. Under the walls of the castle, which has become the symbol of a small village, we will talk about its restoration, debunk the legends about knights, then plunge into a discussion of the “humanity” of the Middle Ages and even drop into the topic of nursing homes in Austria. This castle also became popular after filming in the American version of The Three Musketeers.

Journey into the Past: Miners and the Monastery of the Holy Cross

Let's dive into the history of the mining industry of the Austro-Hungarian Empire by descending into an old mine where gypsum was mined. We learn about its transformation into a popular attraction and a huge underground lake in Europe. Next we will find out what role the mine played during the Third Reich in the forties of the 20th century. Then we will rise and go in the direction of the Monastery of the Holy Cross — Catholic shrine, where time seems to have stopped, immersing you in peace and tranquility.
