

This cave system – one of the largest in Europe, covering 1,100 caves with a length of about 25 km and a total area of 120 square kilometers. There are a variety of formations here: from steep cliffs and deep chasms to underground rivers. Inside the caves you can find stalactites, stalagmites and helictites. Of all the diversity, only 4 caves are available for excursions: Punkva, Katarzynskaya, Baltsarka and Stolbno-Shoshuvskaya. The most popular is Punkva, where the famous Matsokha failure and the underground Punkva River are located, about 30 km long.
