Route
Departure from Sofia is on a comfortable minibus with a group accompanied by a guide.
Exploration of the monastery complex is self-guided, using an audio guide. We will provide you with a map, headphones, and an audio guide device.
Both the monastery and the church are explored independently, at your own pace, with the audio guide providing interesting and lesser-known facts.
All significant locations are marked on the map we provide: museums, ticket office, relics of Ivan Rilski, Miraculous Icon, royal tomb, and other objects worth seeing.
You will have 2-2.5 hours to explore the monastery complex. The visit to Boyana Church (according to the church regulations) lasts 8 minutes.
The journey to the Rila Monastery takes about 2 hours one way.
The end point of the route is at the St. Alexander Nevsky Memorial Church.

When visiting the monastery during the summer season, women should cover their shoulders and knees. Men should wear shorts below the knee.
