On our excursion, in one day, I will show you the real Yerevan and help you feel the spirit and greatness of our Church.
You will see the city in all its beauty and diversity. The excursion consists of two parts. First, we will take a walk through the main attractions of the pink capital: I will tell you the history of the city from the Erebuni fortress to modern Yerevan, we will help you trace the subtleties of the development of architecture, you will learn about the life and rhythms of the city, as well as stories and legends of Yerevan residents. Well and I will definitely give you valuable advice on where you can eat deliciously and how to spend your free time properly. And in the second part we will go to Etchmiadzin, where the shrines and temples of the spiritual capital will take you to the distant times of the adoption and development of Christianity in Armenia.

Etchmiadzin: the spiritual capital
A 30-minute drive from Yerevan is the city of Vagharshapat, a city that people call Etchmiadzin in honor of the Mother See Cathedral located there. Here, on the territory of the complex, I will tell the story and legends about the adoption of Christianity by the first in the world. About the influence of religion on the formation of the national identity of our people, about the canonical structure of the Armenian Apostolic Church and its role in the life of our people. On the territory of the complex there are also the residence of the Catholicos (Patriarch), a theological seminary, a library, and many ancient khachkars and much more.
Let's get acquainted with the infrastructure and architectural features of the Church. The complex is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
If desired and possible, we will visit the treasury museum, where we will show you the main relics of the Church, such as the God-pierced Spear of Longinus, a Fragment of Noah’s Ark and much more.
Yerevan: Yesterday and today
After the spiritual part of our excursion, we will return to Yerevan, where, during a walking tour through wide and narrow streets and secret courtyards, I will tell you about my favorite city, and about who it owes its modern appearance. We will walk from Republic Square to the open-air museum. complex Cascade, we will visit the Moscow cinema in the historical part of the city, we will walk along the “Swan Lake” and the Opera House to the Place de France, we will study the monuments of the great and the sculptures of famous authors.
We will not burden you with encyclopedic facts and dry figures, but will help you absorb its flavor, reveal the secrets of the life of the city, its tales and legends, and we will also reveal its architectural symbols.

Attractions
The main temple of the Armenian Apostolic Church, the throne of the Catholicos of all Armenians in 303-484, and again since 1441. Located in the city of Vagharshapat, Armavir region of Armenia. Since 2000 it has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is one of the oldest Christian churches in the world.
The Treasures of Etchmiadzin Museum is located in the south-eastern part of the Cathedral. The museum displays unique holy relics. One of the most famous treasures is Saint Geghard (housed in a silver reliquary), which pierced the side of Christ, the relics of Noah's Ark (also housed in a reliquary created in 1698), as well as many other valuable works of art.
Republic Square is the central square and the main architectural complex of Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. The square has two parts - a circular movement and a trapezoidal part with musical fountains.
Yerevan is the capital of Armenia with majestic architecture from the Soviet period. On the main street of the city is the Matenadaran Institute of Ancient Manuscripts, where thousands of ancient Greek and Armenian manuscripts are collected. The center of the architectural ensemble of Yerevan is Republic Square with singing fountains and the government building with a colonnade.
