- Karlštejn Castle is the most famous castle in the Czech Republic.
- Once upon a time, the most precious crown of all times was kept here - the crown of the Holy Roman Empire.
- During the tour you will see: a unique collection of medieval paintings — 130 paintings on wood from Master Theodoric’s artel, knight’s hall with furniture 15 — 16 centuries, royal bedroom, royal hall of ancestors — portrait gallery of the Premyslid dynasty.

Karlštejn Castle
The majestic Karlštejn Castle began to be built on the orders of Charles IV in 1348 as a treasury for storing imperial coronation insignia; it occupies a completely exceptional position among Czech castles and fortresses. Many legends are associated with its history; it is a symbol of the golden times of the Czech lands. In addition to coronation insignia, it also housed royal treasures and collections of holy relics.
