Mar Saba
The monastery of Mar-Saba (Savva the Sanctified) is 1500 years old, and is still active today.
The architecture and murals elevate the monastery to a rare work of art.
Now 16 monks live in the monastery. Everything here is so traditional and ascetic that there is not even electricity in the monastery.
The monastery is only accessible to men.

Shepherd's Field
This place is also known as the Field of the Shepherds, where the Angel announced the birth of Christ to the shepherds who were awake in the field. In the cave where the revelation of the Angels took place, three shepherds are buried, eyewitnesses to the event, who wished to be buried in the place where they were honored to see the Glory of the Lord.

Milk Grotto
Already from the VII century. in Western Europe, drops of "Mother's milk" were revered as relics. These are pieces of porous white stone that were found in a cave in Bethlehem, where, according to legend, the Holy Family for some time (about 40 days) escaped from the soldiers of King Herod.

Bethlehem

Modern Bethlehem is located on the territory of the Palestinian Authority. The main population is Muslim Arabs and a small part of Christian Arabs. Church of the Nativity

The modern building of the Church of the Nativity is the only Christian temple in Palestine, preserved from the pre-Muslim period.
